More Halloween fun

Ernie and Oscar sent greetings to let us all know what kind of Halloween excitement they will be getting up to.

It looks as if there has been some chewing on the stem of the pumpkin. Every cat needs something to chew on, it seems.

These boys are brothers, bonded to each other and full of games and mischief. There's lots of fun going on in their home and they are safe inside.

One of them has been put on a diet by the vet! Only non fattening treats in their trick and treat bag.

Halloween is coming

What kind of fun do you and your family have planned for Halloween this year?

Will you be home?

Answering the door to trick and treaters?

Will you have a party at your home?

Where will you cat or dog be?

Please keep you pet inside, best confined to the room that a litterbox, food and water are in.

Lots of frightening things happen outside and inside on Halloween - noises and sights and sounds. Most of these frightening things are lots of fun but not to an animal who doesn't understand the festivities.

Enjoy and protect the pets that mean so much to you.

Happieness

We've received updates on a few of the cats placed in the last few months.

Kati was with us for over a year. She had a lot of trust issues after being abandoned in a foreclosed home. Her adopter actually saw her at an adoption last early spring and was attracted to her but was not in a position to inquire then.

Kati, now know as Muchacha Ocupada (Busy Girl) has settled in well. Her owners are just exploring the world of digital photography and given her activity level, are glad they are just 'wasting' pixels and not having to print pictures of tails and hind legs and blurs to see if they got a good one.

She is shown on the 'stalk' with her stuffed animal cat friend - a buddy cat that she can appreciate as she loves being an only girl!

Pedro was adopted into a family and has adjusted well. As you can see, he is an adored boy!

Pedro and Ella Boo are learning to play with each other. They're going to have fun together.

2 Adoptions Sun., 10/17, 1-3 p.m.

This will be Hudson's first adoption.

We will be at:

Chuck and Don's in Bloomington at 8417 Lyndale Ave. S

and

PetCo Richfield at 66th and Lyndale Ave. S.

At Chuck and Don's we will have Padua, Jumbie, Helen, Addie and maybe one or two more.

At the PetCo we will have a larger group:

Kittens, our youngest at about 13 weeks, Phoebe and Pablo.

More kittens; Chickadee, Schnoz, Buttons, Hudson, etc

Buttons did not show her big 'buttons' on her back, it will be her first adoption event also.

'Adults' who are from 1-4 yrs of age. Penelope, Derrick, , Smokey, Eddie, Ty, etc.

Stop by, adopt, tell your friends who are looking for a cat about us.

This longer fall with moderate temperatures has been wonderful but there are many cats waiting to come inside so they can find forever homes. Soon it will be bitterly cold, water will be hard to find to drink, more calories will be needed to try to keep warm and to have the energy to hunt, shelter will be next to impossible to find.

Help us help those who have lost their homes - perhaps because their owners have lost their home or simply because they were no longer considered valuable.

Just a few of the 'older' kittens available!

Somerset is a hoot - she has the loudest purr in the county. On top of that her coat is soft, she loves to play and cuddle on your lap - hard to beat all of that in one little package. She's about 6 months old.

Chickadee is one of the four black and white kittens left from Tilly's litter. She is an affectionate young lady also and gets along well with another cat or kitten and a respectful dog. Schnoz and Klavier are the two females and Eclipse is the brother who remains. He's a bigger boy than the girls. They are also around 6 months of age.

Phoebe and Pablo are younger, also white and black and have medium length hair. They are probably 11 weeks old now.

Pretty Penelope is not a kitten but a young cat, she is the mother of Phoebe and Pablo and she is happy to have been spayed and know that she can now be a playful, kittenish cat herself. She hopes to never be dumped out in the alley to fend for herself again.

Looking for a male? Consider Jumbalaya, Smokey and Hudson who will be posted soon as he will be neutered this week.

These and many other cats and kittens are available through Pet Haven. Click here to see other cats and kittens available through Pet Haven.

Suzy

Stop by the Chuck and Don's store in Highland this weekend or next and say hello to Suzy.

She is siamese x with very blue eyes, is front paw declawed and loves to have you talk to her and give her some lap time. Rolling over on her back on the floor is also a favorite trick, so you can admire her beautiful tummy.

Suzy is a friendly and out-going girl who loves to have you talk to her. She's a big girl and gets a measured amount of food twice a day to keep her girlish figure.
